The Australian High Commissioner to Ghana Mr. Gregory Andrews has confronted Ningo-Prampram MP Sam George over his homophobic campaign and has threatened to have him arrested on the off chance that he even manages to secure a visa to Europe.
Sam George has been on the frontline of the battle to criminalize homosexuality in all its variants and any form of advocacy. The draconian bill has been described as the “most homophobic document the world has ever seen”.
Despite the uproar from activists, Sam George and his band of hateful homophobes continue their campaign to make the existence of innocent people illegal in the country. Sam George was confronted by former British MEP Seb Dance in a Twitter face-off, with Mr. Dance appealing to him to stop building on colonial legacies.
Now the Australian High Commissioner Mr. Andrews has been very supportive of the LGBT+ community in Ghana and has expressed his disappointment in the Ghanaian parliament for their support of the homophobic bill. It can be recalled that Sam George picked a bone with him over this and threatened to beat the Commissioner to a pulp.
Mr. Gregory Andrews, not scared of the self-titled “Gyata” confronted Sam George at a football game over the weekend, where the Commissioner told the MP he would never get a visa to Europe and even if he managed to get one, would be arrested on arrival.
Cocky Sam George responded by accusing Gregory Andrews of breaching several laws in Ghana and also threatened to have him face the full rigors of the law.
