People are living below the poverty line, cut off the needless expenses and use two V8s when traveling – Mahama’s aide to Akufo-Addo

Former Presidential aid of John Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has called on the Akufo-Addo led government to cut some of his expenditure to save money for the development of the country.

She indicated the government’s move to introduce e-levy just to generate money should not be discussed as there are other ways Ghana can use to make money.

Speaking in an interview on Metro TV, she emphasized that Akufo-Addo should cut the needless expenses which are invested in the showcase of pomp to get enough revenue to undertake any form of development in the country.

According to the former presidential aide, many people are now living below the poverty line and most of them depend on relatives who live in better places hence the government needs to refocus the attention on what to do in terms of their philanthropy so the introduction of e-levy should not be on the topic.

Joyce Bawa Mogtari however added that president Akufo-Addo should cut off his expenses by using two or three vehicles than the long convoy he uses when traveling.
