Mother And Daughter Gets Arrested For Selling “Weed Toffees”

Recently, criminal cases are weirdly rising in Ghana. Not long ago, a mother and daughter were taken into custody via the charge of selling Weed (Cannabis Sativa) Toffees to young pupils at various institutions. This case was confirmed in a small town located in Tamale.

Aisha Tahiru who is aged, 45, and Amina Mutarla who is aged, 27 were the suspects in the arisen case.

“The suspects have been charged with possession of narcotics drugs, prohibited business relating to narcotic drugs, and the supply of narcotic drugs.” said the Northern Regional Police Crime Officer, Superintendent Bernard Baba Ananga.

He added that a detailed investigation into the matter has been opened and will see to it that the pupils who were taking them in will have no effect later in the future.


Superintendent Bernard Baba Anang explained that the grounds of the two suspects mixing wee with coconut toffee were the reasons they were taken into custody.


He added that all other accomplices were going to be looked upon and arrested. He adviced the public on the intake of anything they see outside.
