5 Suspects Dressed In Military Uniforms Were Arrested For Armed Robbery

A recent robbery that happened in the northern part of Ghana was intervened by the police.

The robbers, as well as car snatchers, were arrested on Sunday, January 23, at Sawaba near Buipe in the Savannah Region on a charge of sabotaging cars, land documents and other valuable assets.

These five suspects were seen in a military uniform. The robbers were Ibrahim Issah, 27, Seyram Addo, 34, Adjei Benjamin, 23, and Vikpo Christopher, 27. and Yussif Mustapha aged 23, who was their leader and wore a real military lance corporal rank uniform with an army headquarters lanyard and armed with a military falcon pistol loaded with 9 rounds of 9MM ammunition.

” The suspects were trailed from the sawaba barrier by a combined team of counter-terrorism squad and investigated upon until they were near Buipe where they were arrested. They carried three sets of military uniforms, two military bags, two sets of Police tactical uniforms, one ballistic helmet for the Police among other military accouterments in a black salon car they used for their operation. ” Nothern Region Regional Police Commander, COP Yoosa Bonga explained.

He added that their leader, Mustapha Yusif confessed to whereee they were getting their guns and uniforms from. Mustapha also added that a teacher at Kanvil R/C, Alhassan Mohammed, was their missions informant and strategist.

He told the press that an open investigation has been opened to arrest all involved culprits. He advised that all car owners should get their car GPS up and running for easy tracing.
