Egypt and Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has told manager Jurgen Klopp that he is ready to play against Leicester City in the Premier League on Thursday.
However, Klopp will be without Afcon hero Sadio Mane, who scored the winning penalty.
He will not return to England in time to play against the Foxes.
“Mo is now back, I already spoke to him. He is very disappointed of course, but looking forward to all the things coming up here now.
“I spoke to him and the first thing Mo told me was: ‘I’m ready.’
“He is an experienced player, he is a physical monster. He will obviously have a little recovery session today and we will see how he feels tomorrow and from there we go,” Klopp told the club’s official website.
He added: “Sadio flies out if it’s possible on Wednesday night, so will arrive here on Thursday but he is, of course, not involved in the Leicester game
