Kelvyn Boy, born Kelvin Brown, a Ghanaian Afrobeat artist, was granted GHC 200,000 bail with two sureties by the Adentan Circuit Court on Tuesday morning for allegedly beating his baby mother on February 22.
The musician is claimed to have struck the lady in the ribs numerous times with an iron rod.
Kelvyn Boy, who was accused with assault, pleaded not guilty.
Mrs. Sedinam Awo Balokah presided over the court for the “Down Flat” singer’s bail application.
Deborah Kponyi, the complainant, has been married to the accused for almost ten years and has two children with him.
On March 18, 2022, Kelvyn Boy is scheduled to appear in court.
