Russia vs Ukraine: New owners could take over from Abramovich at Chelsea

According to Bloomberg, interested parties are on “high alert” about the possibility of selling Chelsea.

Chris Bryant, a Labour MP, used parliamentary privilege this week to raise concerns about Roman Abramovich’s ownership of the Premier League club.

This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision earlier this week to launch a military invasion of Ukraine.

In the midst of the uncertainty, it is understood that potential suitors, including some based in the United States, have begun drafting takeover bids.

These alleged individuals interested in buying Chelsea remain anonymous.

Abramovich took over as the Blues owner in 2003 and has invested heavily in the club, overseeing the most successful era in their history.

Chelsea has won numerous trophies over the last two decades, including five Premier League titles and two Champions League titles.
