Wilfred Ndidi, a Leicester City midfielder, has said that facing Ghana in the final 2022 World Cup playoffs this month will be challenging.
Ndidi, who was named to the 32-man provisional squad for the crucial match, is also looking forward to his second World Cup appearance in Qatar, having made his debut with the three-time African champions in Russia in 2018.
After losing to Tunisia in the Round of 16, Ndidi was a member of the Nigerian team that came last in the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Going back to the World Cup will mean a lot to us,” he remarked
“However, Ghana will not be simple. To be honest, we need to be concerned about their entire team, not just a few individuals. It’ll be two difficult games.”
On March 25th, the Nigerian Super Eagles will face the Ghanaian Black Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium. Nigeria will host Ghana in Abuja for the second leg four days later
