Captain Smart, a well-known Ghanaian media figure, wrote a cheque for 28 billion Ghana cedis on live television to acquire Chelsea Football Club.
Captain Smart stated on his most-watched morning show, ‘Onua Maakye,’ which airs on Onua TV, that he has what it takes and more to have the club named after him.
As if that wasn’t enough, he reportedly made several lucrative promises in the hopes of convincing the club’s present owner, Roman Abramovich, to sell the club to him.
He also stated that if he can purchase Chelsea, he will sign Kylian Mbappe, Leonel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Captain Smart also took the time to criticize Chairman Wontumi’s interest in purchasing the club, stating to Chelsea officials that the politician lacks the necessary skills to buy and operate the team.
