Bawumia Has Been Arrested By The Dollar
Former President John Mahama has mocked Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia as the cedi depreciates rapidly, compounded by other economic difficulties.

According to Mr. Mahama, the hardship has brought the country to a level not seen in the last 30 years of the Fourth Republic.

Mr. Mahama bemoaned the absence of Dr. Bawumia, especially as the head of the Economic Management team, at the launch of the TEIN App at UPSA.

“Daily price increases, fuel price adjustments, and a plummeting currency that has rather arrested the person who claimed to have arrested it.”

“The dollar, on the other hand, has arrested him.” So we’re looking for him and can’t seem to find him. “We’ll ask the IGP if he has the key so we can find our Vice President,” he joked.

Mr. Mahama went on to say that the economic hardship is the result of mismanagement by the Akufo-Addo-led government, despite the juicy promises they made to Ghanaians.

“We have gathered at a time when our country is experiencing economic and social difficulties.” The Akufo-Addo government, which came to power on the back of mouth-watering promises to make life better for Ghanaians and ensure our country’s rapid development, has mismanaged the economy so badly. We have been thrown into the most crippling economic crisis in four decades.

“Indeed, we all recall those tantalizing promises, including one made by the current President to transform Ghana within 18 months,” he said.
