Man United: Rangnick breaks silence over Ronaldo smashing fan’s phone
Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has finally spoken out about the incident that saw Cristiano Ronaldo smash an Everton fan’s phone.
United had lost 1-0 at Goodison Park, and Ronaldo was booed by the home fans as he walked off the field.
In the midst of the chaos, the 37-year-old hit a fan’s phone out of his hands.
Ronaldo has since apologised and offered to have the boy a chance to attend a match at Old Trafford, while police continue their investigation.
But Rangnick has broken his silence one week after the incident.
He said: “No. I think he apologised in public on social media for what happened.
“As far as I know there is still an investigation ongoing, both from the police and the FA, but apart from that, I haven’t spoken about that with him.”
