After a stage performance, Kelvin Brown, also known as Kelvynboy, a Ghanaian Afrobeat singer, was allegedly attacked by some University of Cape Coast students.
The artist was reportedly scheduled to perform at the formal inauguration of the school’s 60th anniversary, as well as at the University for Professional Studies in Accra (UPSA).
According to an eyewitness, the singer planned to finish his performance on the UCC campus at 8 p.m. on Saturday night so that he could fly back to Accra for his UPSA concert.
Unfortunately for him, other UCC students couldn’t understand why the singer wanted to abandon them in order to perform at another school, so they decided to raise a ruckus by blocking the entrance.
A video obtained by ghnewsfile.com shows the musician being barred from leaving the school’s grounds by some security agents.
They did, however, come to an agreement and permitted the singer to leave the school’s premises to perform at UPSA.
