KiDi Dashes Ghc 5,000 to Taxi Driver who Returned Ghc 8,400 to Fishmonger

Isaac Kwesi Ackon, the taxi driver who went viral after returning Ghc 8,400 he found in his taxi to the owner, continues to have his life changed for the better.

VGMA Artiste of the Year, afrobeats maestro KiDi, has gifted him Ghc 5,000 for his stunning act of honesty. This is on top of a Ghc 20,000 donation from the office of the Vice President, alongside other tokens of appreciation he’s already received.

Isaac went viral Wednesday as the most honest man in Ghana after returning money he found in his car to the owner. Ghanaians’ shock at his actions demonstrates that, due to the harsh living conditions, honesty is a rare commodity in this country.

Isaac’s story began when he picked up a fishmonger from Mallam Atta Market.

He noticed a tied piece of cloth in his car that smelled like fish after dropping her off at her house and returning home.

He claims to have opened it and discovered cash notes inside. He knew it belonged to the fishmonger right away. Isaac explains that he slept because it was late, then went to church the next day and returned it to her after service.

This week, a video of his kind act went viral on social media, earning Isaac a lot of praise for his honesty. He is now reaping the benefits of his efforts, having received multiple donations, including one from KiDi.
