Cherry Payton, a Texas mother, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for allowing her 13-year-old daughter to marry a 47-year-old man. The teen victim claimed she was sexually active with her 47-year-old husband.

Vlad has information;

Cherry Payton, 43, was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a young child after authorities learned about the arrangement through her daughter’s visit to the doctor’s office. According to court documents, the teen girl admitted to having sexual relations with “her husband,” who was 47 years old. Payton was present during the visit and informed the doctor that she agreed to the marriage because of her family’s religious beliefs.

The teen victim had been a part of this marriage for at least a year before authorities became aware of it. There was also evidence that Payton had sexually abused the teen prior to the marriage.

“Although the child victim in this case was repeatedly let down by her mother, she was surrounded in court by a strong support system,” prosecutor Jessica Ramos said. “We are grateful to her adoptive mother, her court advocate, her CASA, and the Child Protective Services caseworkers who assisted the child throughout the investigation and trial.”

What a terrible parent you are.

According to prosecutors, the girl admitted to her doctor in 2017 that she was sexually active with “her husband,” who she claimed was 47 years old. Payton, who was also at the doctor’s office, stated that the girl had consented to the marriage and that it was part of her religious beliefs.

I believe she requires more time in prison. Life in prison seems about right to me; I don’t think she should ever see the outside world again. What a sick person she is. This is revolting.
