Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has surprised locals by signing up for an exclusive £255-a-month gym in Cheshire… and the Portuguese have been spotted working out at the facility with his family.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United star, has made the unusual move of joining a local gym, shocking fellow Cheshire residents by signing up to an exclusive £255-a-month facility in Knustford.
Most days this week, Ronaldo, 37, has been spotted working out at the Cpase health club, which is located in an area popular with Premier League footballers.
These sessions are in addition to his training at Carrington with United and at his own private gym.
Cristiano Ronaldo shared an Instagram photo of himself and his son in the club’s cryotherapy chamber.
Ronaldo and his family have joined the Cpase health club in Knutsford, Cheshire.
Ronaldo shared a photo of himself and his son Cristiano Junior in the gym’s cryotherapy chamber this week. Georgina Rodriguez, his wife, has also been training there.
Following the Red Devils’ poor season, which saw them miss out on Championship League qualification, there has been speculation about Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo is under contract at United until 2023, with the option to extend for another year, and new manager Erik ten Hag has stated that he wants the Portuguese forward to stay.
Ronaldo, who has scored 24 goals in all competitions since his sensational return to Old Trafford, was described as a “giant” by Ten Hag.
It appears that he will stay at the club for at least another season, and he told United’s official website last week that he was looking forward to working under ten Hag.
‘Ronaldo is a giant, because of what he’s already shown, and I think he’s still very ambitious,’ said Ten Hag, who arrived in Manchester on Monday to begin his preparations before officially starting work on July 1.
‘Of course, I want to keep him.’ He’s been crucial to Manchester United this season and can produce impressive statistics.’
