Desmond Elliot, a Nigerian actor turned politician, has won the APC primary election for Surulere Constituency in Lagos, which was held on Friday.

For the third time, he will run for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, and he will be unbeaten.

Elliot, who had received 30 votes as the sole competitor for the ticket, burst into a joyful dance when the results were announced.

Desmond Elliot was seen dancing to the viral song “Buga” by Kizz Daniel while surrounded by APC members in a video that went viral online.
