According to a report we have gathered, award-winning Ghanaian musician Michael Owusu Addo, better known by his stage name Sarkodie, is set to testify in court.
According to GhanaWeb, the musician will testify in a case involving Kantanka Automobile and Kwadwo Safo Jnr.
Jude Osei is the plaintiff, and the rapper is scheduled to appear in court on July 13, 2022.
Jude has filed a lawsuit against Kantanka Automobile and Kwadwo Safo Jnr., alleging that the company failed to follow through on a promise made on their social media account.
According to him, he received a direct message from the Kantanka_daily account on Twitter, and in the message, he was asked to share a photo of one of the cars belonging to the automobile company.
He claimed that the message indicated that if he can garner 30,000 retweets, he would be rewarded heavily. He was able to get the number of requested retweets after a year.
After messaging them to get his reward, he was hit with the news that the general public should treat any tweet offering a reward to someone for getting 30,000 retweets after posting a Kantanka car as a fake.
The lawyer of Jude is of the view that the said account is not fake adding that it belonged to the automobile company adding that it was once used to tweet a message to Sarkodie to which the rapper responded.
The court has issued the necessary papers summoning Sarkodie to appear in court. These documents can be found below;
