“Let Us Not Underestimate TikTokers’ Influence” -Arnold Asamoah Baidoo Supports Asantewaa’s Recent Remark

Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, a well-known Ghanaian entertainment pundit and journalist, has responded to the claims made by TikToker Martina Dwamena, also known as Asantewaa, about the influence of Ghanaian TikTokers on song promotion.
Asantewaa’s remark elicited mixed reactions in the entertainment industry and on social media. She claimed that without the help of Ghanaian TikTokers, musicians’ songs would never become popular on social media.
She stated that regardless of how relevant and mastered a musician’s craft is, she cannot exempt TikTokers from their promotional plans because they have the power to make the song receive the necessary attention.
In response, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo stated in an interview on United Showbiz aired on United Television that Ghanaians should not underestimate the impact of TikTokers in the promotion of songs on social media and beyond the borders of the country.
He babbled that every generation has a channel through which musicians’ songs are promoted and projected to the rest of the world. Arnold observed that DJs, Radio Presenters, Music Producers, and other music industry stakeholders once played critical roles in song promotion.
However, this generation has developed an excellent strategy for promoting their songs, which is the use of TikTok and its influencers. According to the brilliant entertainment analyst, some of the top music brands have accepted the use of TikTok influencers to promote songs, so Ghanaians have no right to dismiss the platform’s impact.
