Wizkid and Tems wins Best Collaboration at the 2022 BET Awards

Wizkid and Tems have once more brought attention to Nigeria after winning Best Collaboration at the just ended 2022 BET Awards, which were held on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Tems, a rising singer, received two awards for the night, making it a double celebration for her. Tems won the prestigious “Best International Act” award and a plaque for “Best Collaboration” for the remix of “Essence” with Wizkid and Justin Bieber.

Tems honored all the young ladies working hard to succeed in their many disciplines by dedicating the “Best International Act” award to them. “I’m so grateful you did this. Much appreciation. It’s a privilege.

“I mean, this is my first award show that I’m winning something and I just want to use this as an opportunity to speak to every single young, old, whatever, every single woman watching this, every single girl watching this at home. Where I’m from, things like this don’t happen,” she remarked.

The BET Awards honor Black accomplishments in sport, music, and culture. The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles will host the 2022 event.
