Using an executive order on abortion, the Obama administration rejected the verdict of the United States Supreme Court. On Friday, President Joe Biden spoke out in favor of women’s “reproductive rights” and issued an executive order outlining the alternatives available to them.
The Justice Department should conduct something similar to what they did during the civil rights era, Biden said. In order to protect these women who are attempting to exercise their rights, they should do all they can.
President Joe Biden said he will sign any measure that codifies Roe promptly when it hits his desk. He also urged people to go to the polls and show their support for him.
A patient can visit an emergency room in any U.S. state, according to Biden. “Even though she’s having a potentially lethal miscarriage, the doctor is afraid that treating her will get him into trouble. Hospital lawyers are concerned that if the doctor offers life-saving care, the hospital may be fined. It’s a complete and utter disgrace. “It’s absurd and dangerous, regardless of your stance.”
The President urged the American people to elect more members of Congress who support federal legislation preserving abortion access in November’s midterm elections.
His directive directed the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to take action against pro-life states that have established measures to restrict women from going out of state to obtain an abortion or abortion medicine.
