Game Of Thrones Star Emilia Clarke Speaks After Surviving Two Strokes – Reveals Parts Of Her Brain No Longer Function

Emilia Clarke, the star of Game of Thrones, has revealed that parts of her brain are missing and no longer function as a result of having a stroke twice and miraculously surviving both.
Clarke, best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen, or Khaleesi, on the HBO hit show, said it’s a miracle she can still function normally and talk properly.
Clarke told the BBC that the brain aneurysms she had were excruciatingly painful.
“It was incredibly helpful to have ‘Game of Thrones’ sweep me up and give me that purpose,” she added.
Both aneurysms occurred on the set of the popular HBO show in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
She underwent surgery both times and survived, but she lost a significant portion of her brain.
“The amount of my brain that is no longer usable — it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions,” Clarke said.
“I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.”
The actress established SameYou, a foundation for others who suffer like she did, after making a miraculous recovery.
Emilia Clarke enthralled the world with her regal portrayal of Khaleesi in Game of Thrones, but little did anyone realize at the time that she had twice undergone brain surgery for an aneurysm.
It seems that Emilia Clarke is just as courageous and resilient as Daenerys Targaryen!
