Indian politician hospitalised after he drank water from a river to prove to the masses that it is “clean” (video)

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of the Indian province of Punjab, was sent to the hospital after consuming “polluted river water to prove that water is clean.”
In a video, Mann is seen grabbing a glass from a river and downing it in the midst of applause from his fans. To demonstrate that the water was pure, the CM drank it without hesitation even though it was typically contaminated with sewage waste from nearby towns and villages.
Ashok Swain, an Indian professor of peace and conflict research, posted the video of the politician collecting water from the river and wrote
”Punjab Chief Minister openly drinks a glass of polluted water from a ‘holy river’ to prove that water is clean. Now admitted to hospital.’‘
