Breaking: Injunction Case Seeking to Bar Black Sherif from Performing His Songs Thrown Out of Court – Details

Black Sherif’s rise to fame has been aided by the dismissal of an injunction against him in court.

Earlier this year, the “KTT” singer, who had parted with his previous management, had been sued for breach of contract.

On April 11, 2022, Shadrack Agyei Owusu filed a case, demanding damages and more than GH¢ 1 million.

The injunction case against Black Sherif sought to restrict him from performing his songs anywhere.

He also requested interim preservation and the appointment of a receiver to monitor and account for Black Sherif earnings.

His attorneys stated that if this was not done, the artist would spend the money.

However, after filing a defence and counterclaim, the artiste’s attorneys, led by Samson Lardy Anyenini, argued against the motion.

The High Court (Commercial Division), presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Akua Sarpomaa Amoah (Mrs), has thrown the case out.

The judge ruled today that Plaintiff had failed to establish a strong case for the injunction and associated orders he wants from the court.

If the application was allowed, the defendant would suffer grievous injustice, according to Justice Sarpomaa Amoah.
