Why I Don’t Smoke Wee Or Drink Alcohol Before Performing – Quamina MP

Quamina MP, a young Ghanaian musician and songwriter, has openly disregarded this piece of advise from Amakye Dede, the legendary Highlife performer.

Amakye Dede, a famed Highlife artist, is said to have advised novice musicians to smoke wee before going on stage since it provides them the energy to perform well.

During an interview with Kastle FM’s Amansan Krakye, he stated:

“That’s Amakye Dede, and I’m Quamina MP, so everyone has their own feelings, and maybe he believes that if he smokes before going on stage, he’ll perform extremely well,”

Quamina MP shared his honest opinion on whether smoking marijuana boosts an artist’s performance on stage, stating that he believes there will be an overreaction if he decides to consume alcohol before performing because he enjoys connecting with his audience.

“Sometimes I believe that if I drink alcohol before coming on stage, I can overreact because if I’m on stage, I like to connect with the people, so everyone has their own feeling,” he stated on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
