Dr. Bawumia Mobbed As He Commissions Projects in the Ashanti Region

Following the commissioning of a few projects in the Ashanti Region, Vice President Dr. Bawumia was surrounded by supporters and young people.

The Zongo Development Fund (ZDF) funded the initiatives, which were carried out in three different communities.

At Asokore (Asokore Quranic Islamic School), Effiduase (Hamdaniya Islamic School), and Bantama in the Kumasi Metropolis, Bawumia presented completely furnished classroom blocks, a water system, and a community sports and social centre.

The commissioning was a part of the Veep’s two-day working trip to the Region.

At every site on his tour, excited project recipients surrounded Bawumia.

The government has launched projects under the Zongo Development Fund in an effort to close the gap in Zongo areas.

Through skill development and educational grants, this beneficial intervention has improved health facilities, sanitation, and human resource development. It has also enhanced the ambiance and visibility in developing communities.

The Vice President recently launched the first e-pharmacy in Africa, marking another milestone in his digitalization mission.

The e-pharmacy is to improve the distribution of medication through digitalisation and is Africa’s first fully nationalised e-pharmacy.
