Two grown men died in a fight on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway linking Oshodi-Oke and Gbagada in Lagos state, Nigeria.
The people who died were arguing and fighting when a car came and ran them over.
Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident and said that the Nigeria Police, paramedics from the Lagos Response Unit, and other agencies were the first to arrive at the scene.
He said, “When the LRT got to the scene of the accident, they saw two adult men lying on the ground.”
“At the scene, it was clear that one of the people hurt was dead.
“More information from the police at the scene showed that the two grown men were fighting on the expressway before they were hit by a car.”
“A team of paramedics from the Agency gave the other victim first aid at the scene. He or she was then taken to Gbagada General Hospital for more care.”
The other person died at the hospital a few hours after the first.
