Bawumia Vindicated as School Mates Confirm Him as A Member of The Methodist Boys’ Brigade Following Uproar

Recently, Veep Bawumia made a statement claiming to be a member of the Methodist Boys’ Brigade, which briefly generated a commotion.

Fortunately for the veep, who has been painted as a habitual liar, his schoolmates have corroborated his assertion.

The vice president’s membership was supported by two of his classmates from primary school.

“We live in a society where a mother and some children could be Christians and a father and some children could be Muslims. As a young boy at Sakasaka primary school in Tamale, I was a member of the Methodist Boys’ Brigade and I think I probably still hold the record as the only Muslim member of the Boys’ Brigade,” Bawumia said recently.

Following the veep’s statement, there was an uproar on social media.

Ghanaians questioned whether Bawumia was lying as usual since he is a Muslim.

However, Rajah Ismael and Samuel Kwesi Ankamah asserted to be his fellow members of the brigade.

They argued that Veep Bawumia was not smearing the Christian community in order to win support in the future.

“I want to confirm that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was a boys’ brigade member,” Ankamah, who is now a retired public servant said.
