Andrea Radrizzani, the owner of Leeds United, has said that he will file a “global case” against Barcelona if they don’t pay the transfer fee for Brazilian player Raphinha. Barcelona has won the title five times.
In July 2022, (Raphael Dias Belloli) Raphinha moved from Leeds United to FC Barcelona, a famous football team in Spain. Moji Delano says that Barcelona paid the playmaker from Brazil £55 million to work for them.
The 25-year-old seemed to be going to Chelsea after the Blues and Leeds agreed on a deal worth about £55 million. This was a controversial transfer. But he always had his eye on the LaLiga team, and the fact that it took a while for him and Chelsea to agree on a personal level meant that Barcelona was able to close the deal.
Andreas Christensen, Pablo Torre, Franck Kessié, Robert Lewandowski, Jules Koundé, and Raphinha all joined Xavi’s team this summer. But because LaLiga has strict rules about money, it is hard for them to sign up their new players for domestic play.
Club president Joan Laporta has been using “levers” to sell off pieces of the club’s real estate or TV rights in exchange for money. This has helped the club’s finances.
Many people don’t understand why Barcelona is spending so much money on new players when they don’t seem to be in the best financial shape.
Even though Leeds owner Radrizzani sold Raphinha to the Catalan team, he had said before that he didn’t know where the LaLiga team got the money.
