Ghanaian comedian Kwaku Sintim Misa, also known as KSM, had a funny response to the audio of Archbishop Duncan Williams praying against the rising of the cedi.
Bloomberg’s most recent report says that the Ghanaian Cedi is the worst currency in the world.
According to the workld’s best business statistics news site, the Ghana Cedi is in shambles right now because it has lost over GHC2 in value in the last week. This is on top of the fact that the Ghana Cedi keeps losing value against major foreign currencies.
In the middle of all this, Ghanaian playwright and actor Kweku Sintim Misa, KSM found an old video of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams praying hard and telling the Ghanaian cedi to rise in the name of Jesus. He did this to make fun of his prayer.
While that was going on, the founder of Action Chapel International (ACI) defended his prayer after it went viral. He said that his prayer for God to “spiritually stop” the local currency from going down is based on God’s wisdom, not on what people know.
He also said that Ghanaians shouldn’t waste their time arguing about what he did because, even though it might not make sense to some, he spoke and acted from a “biblical perspective.”
