A middle-aged man named Loni died unexpectedly early Sunday morning in Osun State.
He was accused of stealing a motorcycle at Ireti Ayo, Ilesa.
After being witnessed carrying away a motorcycle, commercial motorcyclists and passersby in the community captured him.
According to a source who requested anonymity, Loni stole the motorcycle from an unsuspecting commercial motorcyclist in the region late Saturday night.

According to the source, the suspect has a history of robbery with the police in Ilesa, and other commercial motorcyclists who recognized him as a thief and were aware of his motorbike snatching past dragged him away and killed him.
He further added that the Nigeria Police, A Division, Ayeso, Ilesa, was aware of the incident and that his body had been put at an Ilesa town mortuary.
