Cristiano Ronaldo Talks After Manchester United Win Over Liverpool At Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the great forward for Manchester United, hailed Old Trafford for its support during their victory against arch-rivals Liverpool on Monday (August 22).

The Red Devils welcomed the Reds for their Premier League matchday three encounters on Monday after suffering back-to-back Premier League losses to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, respectively. Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford scored goals for United in the 2-1 victory, while Mohamed Salah scored the lone goal for Liverpool.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who started in the 4-0 loss to Brentford last Saturday (August 13), did not make the starting lineup and only made a brief cameo. He praised his staff on Instagram and thanked Theater of Dreams for their help, commending them for their inspiring performance. He stated:

“Congratulations, Manchester United!”

I appreciate your support for Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s cameo in Manchester United’s victory over Liverpool was unimpressive.
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, started with Anthony Elanga on the left flank and Marcus Rashford as his center attacker. Anthony Martial replaced Elanga and switched places with Rashford after the break. On Monday, the pair worked together to score United’s second goal, with Martial setting Rashford up with a superbly timed pass. Ten Hag delayed using the five-time Ballon d’Or winner until the 86th minute, despite having him at his disposal. Ronaldo struggled to pick up the pace of the game after entering the game, skied a shot from the edge of the box in the 90th minute, and threw the ball away carelessly. The former Real Madrid player had no shots on goal in his 10 minutes of play, made only one accurate pass, lost two of four duels, and turned over possession three times.

When the Red Devils play Southampton on Saturday, it will be intriguing to see if Ten Hag starts Cristiano Ronaldo again or sticks with his starting lineup from the previous match (August 27).
