The Red Devils offered the Spaniard a new contract, but by that time he had already decided to leave for PSG.

Speculation persists that Ander Herrera will return to Athletic Bilbao.
And Herrera, after nearly three years at Parc des Princes, appears set to leave the French giants after they canceled his contract two years early.

The midfielder’s PSG contract was set to expire in 2024, but the club has decided to let him go now because he is no longer necessary.

Earlier this summer, Herrera’s future with the Parisians became more dubious after he was left off of the club’s pre-season tour to Japan.

According to L’Equipe’s latest rumor, the 33-year-old is returning to Athletic Bilbao on a free transfer.
