Vice President Dr. Bawumia has been hailed by former National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team member Stephen Atubiga as President Akufo Addo’s greatest gift to Ghanaians during his administration.
In an interview with Hot Fm, Atubiga claimed that Bawumia has proven to be a tremendous asset for both the government and Ghanaians in general, making him Akufo-Addo‘s biggest present to the nation.
Atubiga highlighted Bawumia’s skill as well as the smooth and complimentary dynamic between the economics expert and the President, pointing out that no previous President and Vice have been able to avoid conflict the way these two have.
“The best gift Akufo-Addo has given to Northerners which he would forever be remembered with is discovering Dr Bawumia for Ghanaians,” Atubiga said.
He added: “Rawlings fell out with late Vice President Ekow Akaa, Kuffour fell out with Aliu Mahama, John Dramani Mahama also fell out with late Amissah Arthur and Rawlings fell out with Atta-Mills as well.”
Former NDC communications team member Stephen Atubiga was expelled for criticizing the party’s leaders.
Since then, he has established the National Liberation Council as his own political party (NLC).
Atubiga responded when asked how Bawumia could be a gift when the NDC consistently claims he is a failure as vice president: “NDC has no moral right to say that against Bawumia because every government faces challenges, there was also “Dumsor” during their era so they can’t use the current situation against Bawumia.”
