We Would Need To Ask Otumfuo’s Permission To Breathe If Kumasi Was The Capital Of Ghana – Bongo Ideas

After calling out Otumfuo, popular social media provocateur Albert Hyde dubbed Bongo Ideas incited the fury of Asanteman. The grade-A troll used the popular galamsey saga to target the ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom with his trolling skills.

You may not be aware of this, but the well-known businessman and politician Akwasi Addae, alias Odike, criticized the Asantehene and other Ashanti chiefs for doing nothing as their towns were ravaged by illegal activities.

He admonished Otumfuo to address the threat or risk organizing a protest against him from the Kumasi youth. His comments were deemed as subversive by the Kumasi Traditional Council, who then performed rites to exile him from Manhyia.

They also shut down Oyerepa Fm, the radio station he was using to broadcast the allegations. Bongo made the decision to enter the topic because it has been a topic of discussion all week.

He attacked Otumfuo, calling his reign “rubbish,” and said that despite Kumasi’s abundant wealth, he had done little for the locals.

“Imagine Kumasi being the capital of Ghana. We would need to ask Otumfuo’s permission before we breathe. Meanwhile, Kumasi remains an underdeveloped town after 20 years of his reign. Nothing to show for all the mineral resources. Rubbish!” he wrote.
