Following the announcement that Nigerian Afrobeat legend “Wizkid” has won four fantastic Headies trophies this year, Davido fans have responded.
After Wizkid won four great headies honors at the Atlanta ceremony, 30BG fans responded.
Wizkid, an Afrobeat legend from Nigeria, was the only Nigerian musician to win four fantastic Headies Awards this year; Olamide and the others only took home one or two.
Fans of Davido responded by claiming that their favorite musician is still superior to wizkid, no matter how many prizes the latter had received.
Despite the prizes Wizkid received from the Headies, a Twitter user going by the handle Rabson Lee praised Davido in a tweet on his profile.
No matter how many Headies Awards Wizkid receives, as long as he cannot replicate this with Terri, he will always be known as “mid” to me, the user stated.
This year’s Headies Award went to Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid. He is also known by the names Starboy, Machala, and Big Wîz. Wizkid won four awards this year (2022).
Wizkid received the “Album of the Year” award for his hugely popular album “Made in Lagos (Deluxe Edition)” and the “Best Collaboration of the Year” award for his smash track “Essence” with Nigerian female artist “Tems.” He also took home the following honors.
