Wantaway El Nacional says that Liverpool, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have all tried to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. The France international is in the last year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is seriously thinking about leaving the Blues. This season, Kante has only played twice for Chelsea. He has missed the last seven games because of a muscle injury.
Their midfielders, especially Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, and Naby Keita, have been hurt a lot, which could explain a lot of their bad play. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones have both been out of action for the past few weeks because of injuries. So, the Reds will need to keep an eye on Kante’s track record of staying healthy over the last two seasons. Since the start of the 2019-20 season, Kante has been sick or injured for 58 games. On the other hand, Kante could go back to his home country with PSG. He left SM Caen to join Leicester City in the summer of 2015.
The best move for Chelsea’s Kante would be to either Liverpool or PSG.
Liverpool is a team that could be on par with or even better than Chelsea when it comes to trying to win trophies. Kante could benefit from moving to Merseyside, which would also let him stay in England, where he has lived for the past seven years. At PSG, the Chelsea midfielder would have the chance to join a superclub that would be the favorite to win every domestic competition. It will also give him a chance to play in his home country with stars like Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe, who is also on the French national team.
Kante has only played football in France and England. If Kante joined Juventus or Real Madrid, it would be the first time in his career that he played in Italy or Spain. Kante would be better off staying in his comfort zone at his age, though.
