Cristiano Ronaldo’s Instagram posts are worth £3.1 million, making him football’s most influential Instagram user over Messi.
With over 100 million followers, Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned the most influential footballer at this year’s World Cup, according to Instagram.
The Manchester United forward will be the most followed player in Qatar by a wide margin, with 481 million followers on the social networking platform. His content has the most value to brands at an astounding £3.1 million per piece.
Nielsen Sports, a state-run statistics firm, conducted the study. They looked at each player’s Instagram account and calculated their average beand value per post, engagement rate, and a total number of followers.

In the past year, Ronaldo’s number of followers has increased by about 47%, and his engagement rate on posts is at 2.25%.
The Portuguese superstar considers themselves superior to Messi, who has 360 million followers and an average post worth £2.3 million.
Posts from the Argentine’s PSG teammates Neymar (178 million followers) and Kylian Mbappe (72.5 million) are worth a little over £1 million each.
