With criticism stemming from every corner, the Manchester United skipper, Harry Maguire had a game to forget against Germany when he was at fault for two goals.
Matters were made worse when Maguire sustained a knock against the Germans.
England captain Harry Kane confirmed that Maguire played on through injury at the end of the match and it now looks like he is out of contention for the much-awaited Manchester derby this weekend.
“Harry [Maguire] had a pretty decent injury at the end there, but carried on for the final 10 minutes on almost one leg,” Kane told reporters, as per Manchester Evening News. “Great character, really proud of him.”
