“That’s Total Bullsh*T,” Says Dana White; Denies Mark Zuckerberg Rumors After Mackenzie Dern’s Recent Comments

The UFC and Dana White have both stated that UFC Vegas 61 will not be open to the public or the press. Mackenzie Dern and Yan Xiaonan are set to square off at this weekend’s private tournament. Dana White said there’s “no secret” as to why the event will be hidden from the public, but the MMA community was left puzzled once the decision was disclosed. However, Mackenzie Dern dropped a juicy nugget by revealing that the venue was scheduled solely for Mark Zuckerberg.
Before her big event bout, the No. 5 rated UFC female strawweight fighter addressed the media. Dern revealed that the event would be closed to the public because Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, had rented out the entire venue:
Mark Zuckerberg, as far as I am aware, rented out the whole UFC Vegas 61 event. I’m sure he’ll show up, but whether it’ll be just him and his wife, a few close pals, or a big party is anyone’s guess.
UFC president Dana White responded to claims that Zuckerberg had rented out the event via Twitter after comments by actor Bruce Dern. A tweet from White’s verified account read as follows:
“Mark Zuckerberg did NOT rent out the UFC Apex. That’s total bulls**t.”
The wealthy programmer recently demonstrated an interest in MMA by sharing a video of himself engaging in the sport.

UFC 61 will be held in a private setting, and Dana White has explained his reasoning.
This weekend’s UFC Fight Night will feature a private bout between Mackenzie Dern and Yan Xiaonan. In a statement, the group confirmed the report. On October 1, 2022, at UFC Apex in Nevada, there will be a fight.
Dana White explained why the last episode of this season’s Dana White’s Contender Series was held in private during an interview with reporters. Though he offered few specifics, White said the media deserved a night off:
Given how busy you all have been, we thought we’d give you a break tonight. Tuesdays and Saturdays are regular attendance days for you guys. Today, Kevin (Lole from Yahoo Sports) showed up. We have to take it easy on you. I am glad this helped. If you want to watch the fights, I suggest staying in and ordering pizza. Good luck and have fun!
