Asamoah Gyan says, “Andre Ayew is not my friend.”

Asamoah Gyan, who used to be captain of the Black Stars, has said that his relationship with Andre Ayew is just a business one.
He said that they don’t get along.
Gyan played on the national team with Ayew for more than a decade. At different times, both players were the leaders of the Black Stars team.
But in an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi FM, the 37-year-old said that he only talks to the Al Sadd forward when they are both playing for the national team. He did say, though, that they get along well even though they haven’t talked in a while.

He said, “Andre (Ayew) is not my friend, but a teammate.”
“At every job, you work with other people, but not everyone you go to and from work with is your friend. Andre is on my team, and when we’re in camp we work together, but I can’t ask him to come with me to sit down and talk. I also have my clique.”
“I have to admit that I get along well with him. Sometimes we talk about boxing, but he’s not my best friend.” Since I left the Black Stars, we haven’t talked to each other,” Gyan said.
Before the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Gyan was no longer captain of the Black Stars. Instead, Ayew was named captain, and Gyan was given the title “General Captain.”
