The Ghanaian Times joins Management of the Ghana Education Service, GES to apologize profusely to parents and final year students for the inability of educational authorities to communicate the postponement of the reopening date to students on time. It appeals to parents to unconditionally accept the apology and the explanations offered by GES. The paper believes the GES, Ministry of Education or government at large would not intentionally do anything to jeopardize the children’s health and safety. Again,  it would be fruitless probing what caused the delay now, the Times hopes parents will bear with GES. The paper appeals to the Service that being proactive in all situations, particularly in communicating issues is very important.

The Daily Graphic says, Africa’s journey to market integration is set to begin with the commencement of trading under the African Continental Free Trade Area AFCFTA. It says the Free Trade agreement is expected to favour small and medium enterprises which are responsible for more than eighty percent of Africa employment and fifty percent of its GDP.  Skeptics have however pointed out challenges, especially those that will affect small and medium enterprises in Ghana, which must be addressed if the country is to optimize the benefit of AFCFTA. The Graphic is concerned that the nation does not have adequate laws to protect patents, inventions and new processes. It says to increase the impact of trade deals, government must ensure that industrial policies are in place and must focus on productivity, competition, diversification and economic complexity.
