Second Lady visits Buem Constituency

Her Excellency Hajia Samira Bawumia, Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana visited the Buem Constituency on the 15th of September, 2020. During her visit, she paid a courtesy call on the Chiefs and elders of the Buem Traditional Council and the Islamic Community where she highlighted some achievements of the Nana Addo – Aziale (DCE) led government in the Buem constituency.

Amongst them are the on-going road construction in the Jasikan Township, all roads leading to the district, FSHS, Scholarships to the needy but brilliant students in the tertiary institutions. She charged the good people of Buem to give NPP an opportunity to serve them and also vote for Hon Lawrence Kwami AZIALE to represent the Buem Constituency in Parliament for them to see the difference in leadership and governance.

She urged the people to change their voting pattern to enable the district witness more development. To this she said “You cannot keep doing the same thing the same way all the time and expect a different result”

At the Jasikan District Assembly Hall, the Traditional Council led by Nana Osei Boakye IV welcomed her to the Constituency and also used the opportunity to enumerate some challenges of the Constituency despite the tireless efforts to make Buem a greater Constituency again. Amongst them was the Municipal status which we have still not gained. He made the request to the government through her for that to be looked at. He also tasked her to communicate their appreciation to the President on the creation of Oti Region which has given the area the privilege to host the Regional Educational Sector.

“Keep on Reminding the President that he promised to give us a University when the Four More For Nana Happen, and because of that we are ready to renew His mandate” – Nana said.

The Parliamentary Candidate who doubles as the DCE for Jasikan District, Hon. Lawrence Kwami Aziale thanked the Second Lady for visiting the constituency to interact with the entire constituency and also support the movement to say enough is enough to the NDC in the Buem Constituency. “Its new dawn, a new era must be born, the time is here and the time is now” said the parliamentary candidate.

In attendance was the Oti Regional Chairman, Mr. Evans Dapaa, Oti Deputy Regional Minister, Hon. Maxwel Quophy Blagodzi, other regional and constituency executives, staff from various departments in the district and a host of the MOSLEM community.
